Self-help groups and patient organizations
Oncological support groups are an important contact point for tumor patients and their relatives. The aim is to come to terms with the cancer diagnosis and a life with the disease together. Support groups offer the chance to share experiences with others in a similar situation, to provide support, and give advice and are therfore a valuable addition to medical expertise.
