Visceral Oncology Center

The Visceral Oncology Center ensures the implementation of uniform quality standards for the diagnosis and therapy of all tumors of the gastrointestinal tract. This includes tumors of the stomach and esophagus (esophageal carcinoma), the intestinal tract (colon carcinoma and rectal carcinoma) as well as the liver (hepatocellular carcinoma) and the bile ducts. A special focus within the center is the treatment of pancreatic cancer (pancreatic carcinoma). The initiation and execution of clinical studies is also a central task of the center. The Visceral Oncology Center is part of the National Center for Tumor Diseases Dresden (NCT/UCC) and since April 2014 has been certified according to the requirements of the German Cancer Society (DKG) as well as according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
