Certified by the German Cancer Society, the Prostate Cancer Center (PCA) is one of the first facilities of its kind in Germany. The center consists of an interdisciplinary network of urologists and radiation therapists supported by diagnostic radiologists, pathologists, nuclear and laboratory medicine specialists and psycho-oncologists. The center also collaborates closely with rehabilitation facilities, the University Pain Center and the palliative care unit to provide comprehensive treatment. All modern treatment and surgical procedures including open radical prostatectomy, robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy, brachytherapy, percutaneous radiotherapy, hormone therapy and chemotherapy are available. The trial center of the Clinic and Polyclinic for Urology conducts numerous clinical trials, providing access to new medications.
