In 2008 I was diagnosed with lymphoma. After spending two years recovering, I started looking for a volunteer project to be involved in. I have since joined four. As a patient representative on the Patient Council of NCT/UCC Dresden I enjoy advocating for the concerns of patients and their relatives. Furthermore, I am the head of the leukemia and lymphoma self-help group in Dresden.

In 2016 I developed malignant melanoma. Two years later, doctors found two brain metastases and several metastases in my abdomen. Since 2018, I have been participating successfully in a medical trial at University Hospital Dresden.
I have been a member of the Patient Council at NCT/UCC Dresden since 2020.

Wolfgang Krämer
I have been closely associated with University Hospital Dresden since 2011, when I started receiving treatment for multiple myeloma. Because of this diagnosis, I am involved in the Patient Council of NCT/UCC Dresden, where I can actively advocate for the concerns and needs of patients and their relatives.

Peter Musil
I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma at University Hospital Dresden through an incidental finding in 2019. Thanks to the exemplary treatment and care at NCT/UCC Dresden, I am currently classed as recovered. I am pleased to have been part of the Patient Council since 2021.

Solveig Reppert
I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 1996. I have been involved in the Patient Council since 2012 and support patients and their relatives – among other things, as a contact person in the Patient Café.

Susanne Schmitt
After being diagnosed with Myelodisplastic Syndrome (MDS), I successfully underwent an allogeneic stem cell transplantation at Dresden University Hospital in 2016. An oncological disease of my husband moved me to support the work of the Patient Council of the NCT/UCC in 2023. I would like to contribute as a patient to research and development as well as to assist patients and their relatives with questions and concerns.

In 2004 I was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). In 2008 I received an allogeneic stem cell transplant at University Hospital Dresden. I have been volunteering as a patient representative at NCT/UCC Dresden for several years. I like to be a contact person for patients and their relatives. In order to be well prepared for this, I use my own personal experience and also participate in online seminars run by the Patient Expert Academy for Tumor Diseases (PEAK) to further my education.

I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in February 2022. Four months of outpatient chemotherapy were followed by high-dose chemotherapy and autologous stem cell transplantation. I have been a member of the Patient Council since 2023 and am keen to be actively involved in the field of research.
