Psycho-oncology service

A cancer diagnosis often comes as a shock to both the person affected and their relatives. This can be accompanied by various emotions, including worry, fear and sadness, which can be very challenging for those affected (and for their relatives).

Many patients describe the worry of overburdening family members with their own fears and feelings. For this reason, we are happy to offer professional help as part of our psycho-oncology service. As well as offering a space to unburden yourself, we are also available for consultations on dealing with cancer and the resulting demands.

Who can take advantage of this offer and how do I get in touch with a psychologist?

Our psycho-oncological services are open to all inpatients and outpatients of University Hospital Dresden.

If you are undergoing inpatient treatment, please contact your attending physician or the nursing staff. If you are being treated as an outpatient or were treated at University Hospital Dresden in the past, please use the following contact options to arrange an appointment.
