Gynecological Cancer Center

Every year, around 30,000 women in Germany are diagnosed with gynecological cancer. The diagnosis is usually unexpected and poses a major challenge for those affected and their relatives. It is essential for these patients to receive treatment that is ideally tailored to them. This requires interdisciplinary cooperation with specialists from various fields, taking into account national and international guidelines and standards. The Gynecological Cancer Center is part of the National Center for Tumor Diseases Dresden (NCT/UCC) and has been certified according to the requirements of the German Cancer Society and DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 since March 2011. It offers the complete spectrum of diagnostics, surgical therapy (complex oncological interventions including minimally invasive and robot-assisted surgery), oncological drug therapy, radiation therapy and aftercare according to the latest scientific findings. We are supported in this by experienced psycho-oncologists, social workers, physiotherapists and oncology-trained nursing staff.
