The National Center for Tumor Diseases Dresden (NCT/UCC) is a joint Institution of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), the Carl Gustav Carus Faculty of Medicine at TU Dresden, the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus and the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR).
The main goal of NCT/UCC Dresden is the development of an innovative and personalized cancer therapy. Latest research results will be tested in clinical trials als quickly as possible and then be applied to regular patient care. For that, the four supporting institutions share their expertise with each other. Also the close cooperation with NCT Heidelberg makes it possible to enhance certain research areas together. In this process NCT/UCC Dresden is counseled by the following bodies: directorate, scientific advisory board and steering committee.
