As one of the leading university hospitals in Germany, the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden offers its patients state-of-the-art health care and covers nearly the whole range of maximum care. Its focus lies on cancer therapy, metabolic and neurological diseases.
Together with the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), the Carl Gustav Carus Faculty of Medicine at TU Dresden and the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf the university hospital has established the NCT Dresden in 2015. Thereby it is reinforcing its overall outstanding position in innovative therapy and patient-centered research. The University Hospital Dresden is well renowned far beyond Germany.
In 2015 it treated 57.451 inpatient cases and 272.745 outpatient cases. The foundation of this work efficiency are 5.644 employees and 1.295 hospital beds.
