Let's Eat – Online nutrition program

Information and support on a healthy diet

A healthy, needs-covering and tasty diet has a very special significance during and after cancer treatment. The dietary recommendations for people with cancer differ depending on whether one is undergoing cancer treatment or has already completed the therapy. However, the goal is always to achieve a balanced diet for the particular situation. More information on nutrition during therapy and aftercare on the website of our program Active Living with Cancer.

The National Center for Tumor Diseases Dresden (NCT/UCC) offers individual nutritional advice to patients undergoing treatment at the NCT/UCC.

Another offer is our free "Let's eat onko - online nutrition program". It is primarily aimed at those affected who have completed their acute treatment. However, patients who are currently undergoing therapy can also participate if they do not have too many restrictions with regard to their current nutritional situation. Please do not hesitate to contact us. "Let's eat onko" is run in cooperation with the practice for diet & nutrition therapy Anne Güldner.

The nutrition program provides:

  •     scientifically grounded information on the connection between nutrition and cancer
  •     information on the most important basics of a balanced and varied diet
  •     support for changes in everyday nutrition through nutrition plans and a nutrition diary
  •     cooking together (although each person cooks in their own kitchen) delicious recipes suitable for everyday use
  •     tips on shopping, preparation and enjoyment of food

A workshop consists of four dates, each from 17.00 to 18.30 hrs. Three workshops are planned for 2022. Participation is free of charge.

Eating with pleasure is also a part of quality of life - often linked to positive memories. As an addition to our nutrition program, we realised the NCT/UCC baking project last year together with the chef confectioner Stefan Salzer - himself a cancer patient at NCT/UCC. You can find the videos and delicious recipes here - a warm invitation to try your hand at baking!
